Sun, September 13, 2009 - 11:30 AMeven without internet advertising, the population at gathering has gotten to unsustainable levels at times. it's just an attempt to keep things a bit more sane.
also, when there was lots of internet advertising, we ended up with lots of non-faerie/not-interested-in-faerie tourists and partygoers just looking to get fucked up. it's better when things are spread by word of mouth. -

Wed, September 16, 2009 - 10:52 AMI'm heading in with three friends. It's best to register by mail and send your donation ahead. Imagine yourself in the place of the sanctuarians getting evrything ready.
It helps me to bring peanuts and other fillers if I miss a meal. Food is great, but the experience of sharing on many levels why I go and is best with a minimun of distraction. I find that weaning down on meat, sugar, refined carbohydrate weeks before helps to prevent the "calorie shock" I experienced with my first gathering. It wasn't for three days that I stopped hunting for the caloric gratification to which my body was accustomed at the time.
Preparing before-hand helps make most of the experience for me like I do the same for meditation.

if i go, i want to go the whole week (both weekends).
