SMS virgin – arriving on the 30th

I’ve been trying for years to get to SMS for Beltane – but life and circumstances have not cooperated. It looks like I am able to get a couple days off work and line up pet sitters this year. . . so my plan is to arrive early in the day on the 30th. . . and stay through Sunday evening. . . Yeah! (I'm coming from Raleigh NC).

Okay. . . I cannot find my copy of the Goatzette (with the registration, etc.) Does anyone have one they can scan an email me? (raleighzoom@yahoo.com).
Also, I asked this question last year – but I would appreciate any helpful hints about what to bring and what not too. . . and what to expect. I’ve seen some discussion about trying not to bring in any more than is needed. . . so I’m thinking of keeping it real simple: tent, bedding, toiletries, sunscreen, walking around clothing and costuming, maybe some granola bars . . oh, maybe my Hula Hoop too. . .

. . . what else?

    I got this.

Make sure you have a pad for your sleeping bag, the ground can get awful cold at night. Please bring your Hulahoops, I love those things, and there is always juggling, poi, and firehoops going on somewhere. My friend Kibo is particularly awesome at firehoops. Bring a few towels...one for toweling off after a sauna, another for toweling off after a shower. You keep track of your towels at the bath-house by cliping them with laundry pins with your name on it...so bring a few of those if you got them lying around. Food is usually available, but I'd suggest bring more then a few granola bars in case you dont want to walk all the way from your campsite to the main house every time you get the munchies. Bring a few trashbags for your campsite if you bring outside food. Although there shouldn't be water shortage problems like last year during the drought its still a good idea to bring some water. Not small bottles. Large, several gallon containers you can keep at your campsite will cut down on trash and keep the stress on the water system down. I always bring 2 pairs of shoes (in case it gets muddy) and one pair of flip flops for good weather.

I always come with a little extra cash beyond my sanctuary donation. There are some awesome crafts for sale and barter. I don't think anyone should leave the Mountain without Shlio's "sex is life" CD or one of Ning's porno shirts (you'll hear and see what I mean soon enough). The Sister of Perpetual Indulgence usually put on a fund-raising auction, an great place to pick up some art and custom made clothing and, of course, it all goes to a good cause.

Save some room in your car for all the awesome finds at the Goat Boutique...a clothing freebox in the barn.

I arrive a day before ya. Ask around the smokers tent for Flash and I'll give ya the nickel tour!
